A how to properly wash your hands sign with a few other tips added by me
Recently, I saw the following hand washing sign in the women's restroom at Best Buy in Puyallup, WA (see image below).
A few other tips I'd add to that list to prevent the spread of germs after washing your hands in public restrooms:
1) Use a paper towel to open the bathroom door (when exiting) after you've just washed your hands.
2) If the setup has you crank out your paper towel (some public restrooms) where there's a handle to touch to get paper towels out, be sure to crank out the paper towel FIRST then dry your hands on the clean paper towel so you don't have to touch the paper towel handle dispenser AFTER washing your hands.
3) A reminder from a previous post of mine, NEVER use the hand air dryers found in some public restrooms still. Even BEFORE Covid, it's been proven that those just blow around germs. As I mentioned in a previous post, if that is the ONLY way you can dry your hands in the restroom you're in, go out to a place that you can dry your hands (for example, Winco has a pizza stand at the front of their store near their restrooms where you can grab napkins out of the dispenser right next to the cash register for FREE).
