What I read about at the bottom of this article and my comment to it, too
I was reading an article by BU- School of Public Health titled: "Covid-19 in 2025: 'A constant threat, but a manageable one' " dated 3/8/25 (direct link to that article I'm referencing): https://www.bu.edu/sph/news/articles/2025/covid-19-in-2025-a-constant-threat-but-a-manageable-one/. The last paragraph and I quote word for word reads: "You can think of vaccines as powerful tools that can help you and your loved ones—no matter what your age—live a life that is freer from the awfulness of the diseases vaccines prevent. COVID-19 affects lung health, heart health, blood coagulation, fertility, and other functions of our bodies. The vaccines do not have these effects.”
My response to the above quoted word for word paragraph: 👆 Yes, Covid-19 negatively affects multiple parts of your body, however, I know people who have gotten the Covid vaccine and still got Covid. You still need to do exercise the well known precautions that prevent Covid (prescreen people PRIOR to coming into close physical contact with them), wipe down publicly touched surfaces/items PRIOR to touching them &/OR disinfecting your hand/(s) after touching with 70% or higher alcohol based hand sanitizer/hand sanitizer spray/hand wipes, wearing personal protective gear (face shields when indoor public places/covered outdoor places, face shield and mask when LOTS of people indoors, and masks when in close proximity to others/social distance when possible when appropriate), stay home when sick (unless you're getting sick remedies at the store or handling a banking transaction), cancel plans with others when sick/potentially contagious, and communicate to others in advance so they aren't blindsided if you may be sick/may be contagious.
